What are the advantages of the Control Pro units?
-
Up to 55% less overspray
Thanks to the lower pressure, up to 55% less overspray is generated compared to conventional airless technology. This makes airless spraying systems with HEA technology particularly attractive for indoor use, as the amount of masking required is significantly reduced, saving a lot of time. Reduced overspray also means material savings as less paint is wasted due to atomisation.
-
Maximum control and ease of use
Uncontrolled spraying and application errors are a thing of the past. The reduced pressure of the Control Pro Airless devices results in less recoil and a lower speed of the material particles — so you maintain maximum control while spraying. The ergonomic handle and light trigger of the high-quality HEA Airless gun means effortless and comfortable working. Maximum control thanks to reduced particle speed and the transport of larger particles ensures easy handling and professional results.
-
Perfect coverage
The new design of the High Efficiency Airless nozzle allows a softer spray jet, so you always get streak-free results with perfect coverage when working with emulsion or varnish.
-
Longer service life
Compared to conventional airless devices, High Efficiency Airless reduces the spraying pressure by around 50% with the same material flow rate. This has a further positive effect: the pump and its components are less stressed, resulting in reduced wear and therefore a longer service life for Control Pro devices.

Do I need to dilute the paint when spraying with an airless paint sprayer?
With the Control 150 M and the Control Pro series, it’s possible to spray interior wall paints, wood and metal paints either undiluted or slightly diluted.
For detailed information, please refer to the paint manufacturer’s technical data sheet.
Which is the right filter /nozzle for my airless paint sprayer?
For fluid, thin materials: Nozzle 311, red filter
For viscous, thick materials: Nozzle 515/517, white filter
Why do I have an additional filter set with the Control Pro paint sprayers?
Lower quality paints often contain larger particles or impurities. Dirt or dried paint from the outside can also cause the nozzle to become blocked. The blocking of the nozzle can be minimised by using the HEA filter set.
Are there any tips and tricks for achieving a perfect spray finish?
We recommend spraying in a vertical spray direction. Move the device at a constant distance of 10-30 cm and at a constant speed. Make sure that the spray overlaps the previous spray slightly in order to achieve a uniform paint coverage.
Which materials cannot be processed with an airless paint sprayer?
Materials containing strong abrasive components.
Masonry paint, alkalis and acidic coating materials.
Combustible coating materials and materials containing acetone or nitro thinner.

The media could not be loaded. I was worried about all the reviews I have read about leaks around the housing joint and hose.I did wonder if the leak was caused by tightening the hose to the machine without a second spanner, in other words in thighning the hose nut with one spanner and relying on the plastic housing to take the strain caused the damage?I did find that with two spanners (one held stationary on the machines collar nut, and rotated the hose nut) it took a lot more turns than expected, it seemed that the two flanges were malleable and in making the extra turns on the spanner helped seal the joint.I also noticed that during spraying on the odd occasion I did accident tread on the hose very close to the neck of the machine, this might cause damage or a weakness. My first impression was how quick it is to spray the walls, as can be seen from the time laps video (x15, 6mins). I only put about 2.5 litres in as a trial and ran out of paint half way through. My only problem was that as the room was sealed (windows and doors) the paint never dried, as it was very Humid, so when I did a second coat the paint ran down the walls in places. It was my first attempt, I also think I put too much paint on the walls (should have been quicker).I did leave the machine loaded with paint overnight (sprayed some water in the paint reservoir) and dropped the spray head in a bucket of water. The following day, a quick stire of the paint and a quick wipe down of the spray gun and off we went with no problems.Note: I did dilute the paint with about 10% of water.

Painted a large area, absolute lifesaver. Can paint a whole house in 4 hours. Having said that, taping off all areas can take a while, but much faster than rolling. Easy to use and simple.

Ok so a nice little paint sprayer. works very well and the finish is really good. However make sure you seal the room/ area extremely well wear a really excellent face mask for very fine particles, safety gear etc. and if possible extract the mist outside direct. Cleaning the machine takes time and to be honest is like most machines an after thought by the designer and maker. It does take for ever to clean it. So over all make sure you have plenty to do area wise the same paint colour etc to make it worth wise. I also bought the extension tube for the ceiling etc which made it even easier to use.

As long as you follow the instructions for assembly you’ll be fine. Just because it says you need a wrench for the hose union, doesn’t mean you have to tighten it with all your strength, literally just needs to be nipped up. Follow the proper clean up and strip down procedure and you cant go wrong. Machine sprays thick acrylic roof paint easily

This the second Wagner I’ve bought. I had the hand held Wagner 590 and although a superb sprayer for the money, I found it restricting as you had to stop and fill the paint pot too often. I researched for an alternative and set my sights on an airless system as you have more control on use due to the spray tips available and, most importantly, they can bulk feed the paint. I decided to try with the Wagner 150m as I have never used an airless setup before. My reckoning was that if it worked for a few properties, it will have paid for itself and I will look to invest in a more professional machine. I have since painted 3 properties with it. That is walls, ceilings, window frames, door frames, doors and skirting!!!It is so quick and flawless. It is a plastic diy unit but it gives a truly professional finish. Practise with it and it will not disappoint. Overspray is minimal so long as you thin your paint to the correct viscosity and take time to mask sensitive areas.I have included a couple of pics to show the finish on paintwork using water based eggshell. By the way, that carpet was there when I sprayed and not a mark on it!Definitely worth the money, skirting and doors in an average room – 2 mins max. Try that with brush.I hope this helps with your decisionRegardsJason

The Wagner 150m is ideal for small projects, I’ve just painted a bedroom in grey and magnolia it took me less than a week to complete the project, the sprayer is easy to clean use and refill, it’s my second sprayer I’ve the larger 250m for larger projects, the smaller 150m allows me to use old tins of paint and after filtering them of rubbish have a professional finish at half the price of paying someone to do it for me with a roller and brush.Likes: Compact stores inside itself, easy to clean, operate and refill.Dislikes: the filter in the hand tool is stuck I cannot unscrew it to get the filter out for washing, I think it’s cross threaded but a little WD40 should let me get it off and replace the filter or a replacement hand piece if not

After using cheaper sprayers in the past I wasn’t expecting miracles. I purchased after watching numerous videos online…My trepidation were totally unjustified, this thing is nothing short of a revelation.10 mins setting it up, mix and dilute the paint, fill the hopper and away you go. I covered the majority of a 3 part bedroom in about 20 mins with a finish that simply isn’t possible with a roller. Less mess than using a roller, no flicks of paint all over me and the adjacent walls. There is over-spray but its mostly caused by technique rather than the machine, onto bare plaster and the coverage is excellent, 1 coat and 95% coverage, a lighter top coat of emulsion will have the room ready for furnishings.Clean up was just as awkward as cleaning paint trays and rollers, warm soapy water and plenty of it, I cleaned the hopper, then filled with clean and ran the prime function, emptied and filled again and then set to spray to clean the hose. disassemble the gun and clean and that was it.Thoroughly satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

The sprayer is great, really fast and leaves a fantastic finish, there is more work required in the covering and prepping of areas as there is with the actual spraying. Ensure the paint is well stirred pre use and the machine is well cleaned at the end.
