Very easy to assemble. First lawn cut was excellent and only used 25% of the batteries power. Batteries come 75% charged which is nice. I topped up to 100% while assembling the mower. Stores away nicely as can bend the handle back. Light and manoeuvreable.

Bought to replace a damaged ( but still working) B&D mower some 12+ years old.I love the twin battery and charger. No need to charge or change batteries as I cut both my largish lawns ( each some 100 s/mts) Wet grass not a problem. One slight criticism others have identified would be the safety handle should be on both left and right side, and this handle feels a little flimsy. Folding the handles down for storage, I fitted slightly longer bolts which made it easier. This was easy to do, but perhaps should be done in future models. However, I am delighted with it’s performance and value.

I was rather sceptical about having a battery driven mower but this is fab. Battery last long. Well made construction. Lightweight and easy to use. Well done Mountfield.

Makes cutting grass so much easier. It’s simple to assemble from the box, the batteries supplied are almost fully charged so you’re good to go.Long handle so no bending over to push the mower. No cord getting in the way either. Very easy to change cutting lengths as there’s a lever on top.Cut my long grass really easy without having to really push hard.I’d highly recommend this if you want a powerful cordless mower that makes doing your garden so much easier.Well worth the price and it folds away nicely for storage.

I bought this in February, so it’s had a full summer of use. I love it. Today I cut my largest lawn (approx 200 Sq Meters), which hadn’t been mowed for three weeks and was damp with morning dew, without a hitch. There was even some light rain halfway through. I’ve come from a petrol mower which was difficult to start, noisy, smelly, heavy and required regular maintenance. This Mountfield is the exact opposite and it gives a good cut too. I’ve only once run out of juice and that was on the third go when the batteries may not have reached maximum capacity, or I hadn’t totally charged them. Either way, I’ve had no problem since. The key is to remember to charge. It’s all in the planning and it’s a different way of thinking. Before, I had to make sure I had enough petrol.I fully recommend this mower.

Lovely and light and easy to push.

I bought this to replace a 20 year old Mountfield that was beginning to play up. This mower is half the price and half the weight of the old one, and cuts all my grass in half the time. So far it is a joy to use. Will it last 20 years? Will I? Time will tell, but I am very impressed with it so far. I went for the twin battery option, which was reduced and cheaper than the single battery model. A good buy!

This is my first cordless lawnmower and I wasn’t sure as an old cordless hedge trimmer was under powered (not Mountfield). However, this cordless Mountfield mower is excellent, no more throwing the cable away from the cutting blades. The batteries are easy to insert/remove and are plenty powerful for both front and back lawns. Grass pick up is good too, something my old Hyundai struggled with. Overall very pleased.

After our trusty Mountfield petrol mower deck rotted away and the front wheels were falling off, we decided on purchasing this little beauty before, like everything else, the price went through the roof.I’m so glad we did. After unboxing it in the garage, (it was raining, would you believe!) I assembled it in no time and only needed the manual to check where the four washers were best placed. The batteries were 75% charged so I could werify everything was working and adjust the angle of the handle. (Nice touch, that.)I put the batteries on charge and waited two days for the sun to come out. Today it did but the grass was still wet when I did the first mow at the front. See pictures. The back was a quagmire so couldn’t couternance doing that and the grass very long on both lawns so I set the height on 4.It breezed through the job in no time and the power used was only 25%, so I’m well pleased. It’s early days but the plastic mower deck won’t rot and I will have no issues with starting it with a dodgy shoulder and a pull cord!Watch this space for an end of summer review.
