10 reviews for Makita HP1640/2 240V 13mm Percussion Drill

  1. J GOODWIN

I like the proper keyed chuck and the hammer action feature, also it has reverse and variable speed on the trigger.

  2. Amazon Customer

Superb Makita drill.. Perfect for jobs around the house and outside. Very powerful but not to big.. Very pleased

  3. JPG

Good: solid construction; easy to control drill speed; proper chuck with key; seems a very professional piece of kit; NOT made in authoritarian China.Bad: Ideally it would have been slightly lighter – but you make your compromises

  4. Alex

Never used a decent drill befor and wow what a difference its effortless definitely buy this its good for the price battery powered ones I feel are just overpriced for simple DIY and for these been a corded drill you save alot of money great product I will have this for a lifetime I feel its sturdy strong and long lasting product

  5. TonyF

This is a fantastic drill which I bought as a replacement for a similar Makita drill which i’ve used for years. Its got a decent keyed chuck, not one of those useless keyless ones and is really good quality, especially for the price.

  6. Skip

Powerful drill, does the work well and variable tiger is very handy, good to have ‘chuck key’ to hold drill bits well..

  7. M. Cave

A great drill with a reasonable level of hammer action when required.Half the battle is to also have a good set of drill bits to go with the drill.I find the chuck works excellently with no slipping and is still easy to remove the bits when finished. It does the job! No complaints.

  8. Prakash pun

    Powerful

  9. Razi ul Hassan

    Happy with my Makita Drill

  10. Client d’Amazon

Feels very comfortable to use as a good tool should, it fits the old style vertical drill stand which quite a few new drills do not.
