Excellent chainsaw, been using it for 6 months, cut down serval trees and logged them. Price very competitive, very easy to start and powerful. Quite heavy after using it most of the day, but it is a robust tool. Only thing that is flimsy is the kickback guard and chain brake, but it works fine.

I needed a saw for use whilst my Stihl was in for repair, as currently cutting up approximately 100 felled trees following implementation of a Woodland Management Plan. At the price, I wasn’t expecting too much, but I have to say, I have been well impressed. I’m no professional, but since the return of the Stihl, I have continued to use the Hyundai. The Stihl is now my backup! Yes, the Hyundai is a little heavy and does seem to gulp a lot of fuel, but is perfectly comfortable sawing through 22 inch plus trunks. Very easy to start. Do however, check tightness of all bolts, as I have lost two, which fortunately I had replacements for! User’s manual okay, although front cover states HYUNDA rather than HYUNDAI! Not impressed by the sharpening file supplied, now using a 4.88mm, but chain is fine and having two included is excellent.

After the recent storms my old petrol chainsaw was showing its short comings, it was old, kept breaking down and really needed nurturing along … constantly! So here I was (still am) with a whole heap of wood to deal with, that’s where the Hyundai makes an appearance. Having looked around this model seemed to tick all the boxes, albeit cheaper than the ‘typical’ chainsaw brands that get touted about, this model does not stand in their shadows. Amazon had it at the best price, delivery was quick and it has a 3 year warranty, what is not to like about that?So back to my experience of it. The saw comes in a medium sized box and just needs a little assembly, nothing that someone who intends to use a chainsaw would be unnerved about, if they were then they should not be using it. So first thing was to fit the spike, a couple of hex bolts and the tool is supplied then place the bar on and the chain, which there are two chains supplied. I particularly like this 2 chains, saves having to order a spare as soon as you get the saw. Once all assembled and adjusted, again with supplied tool nearly ready to go. Quick fill up with oil and some 40:1 fuel/2 stroke oil mixture, pump the bulb till its full, brake on, ignition on choke out, decompression pushed in …… and pull. Fresh out of the box it took a good 10 pulls to get it all started, but after breaks for a nice hot beverage started on the second pull while still warm (so no choke needed). I did have a little smoke coming off the saw body when I first used it, I put this down to oil coatings on the metal parts and on subsequent use no longer there. In use it was great, feels solid and well made, nice and powerful with the 62cc engine, and that 20 inch bar, excellent at this price point. In the first few minutes it seemed heavy, but that is only because I came from a 40cc 14 inch machine, like I said only for my first few minutes after that I’m used to it, it handles well. All in all I’m happy with my purchase, only had it for just over a day and it has been put through its paces, I would certainly buy it again faced with the same choices but I won’t have to for a few years thanks to that warranty.

I bought this saw to process fire wood, I have a smaller expensive pro saw which I use regularly but needed something for larger sections. After assembly it started easily without issue, some of the revues have mentioned the pull cord failing however the saw has a decompression button which needs to be pressed before starting which reduces tension on turning over the engine which if not used could explain breakages on the staring system. The saw was used all afternoon with no issues, it cuts nicely on its side without fuelling issues and very rarely gets bogged down when cutting large sections of pine, it does use more fuel and chain oil than my smaller saw but it is bigger and more capable. The saw is supplied with tools a bag and 2 chains which are very sharp and surprisingly stayed sharp the hole day although did stretch quite a lot and needed adjustment when refuelling.I think for £150 it’s a winner its much better than the £70 cheap saws available on the web and comes with a 3-year warranty although I did purchase the additional amazon cover for accidental damage etc which for £20 is a no brainer, would I buy this saw as a dependable work tool… no if it breaks it could take a while to send it off for repair under warranty opposed to a saw purchased locally with good spears availability but for occasional use and cutting up fire wood I highly recommend it.

Wasn’t sure about buying online a replacement for my 30 year old Partner chainsaw which finally gave out when I coudn’t get the parts. I cut three or four trees every winter for a year’s supply of firewood and the Hyundai has done a very good job so far halfway through this season. It was easy to start in the cold weather, and is light to use.

I already had another type of chainsaw, but this product has a more powerful motor and the 20 inch chain length is very tempting. After a whole day of continuous cutting work (cross and lengthwise cutting and slicing of 100-year-old oak with a diameter of 60cm), as well as (cross and lengthwise cutting and slicing of Sequoiadendron giganteum 70cm in diameter cut down 20 years ago) outstanding performance. It comes with two chains, which is extremely useful when it comes to continuous use throughout the day.Easy and intuitive assembly, precise and detailed instructions for use.Strong engine and high-quality chain. The starting process is slightly different from starting conventional chainsaws, but it is precisely described in the user manual and is easy to learn.Easy to start every time (though if it’s really hot you might want to wait a bit, as is normal with other types).Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with the saw and happily recommend it to everyone.

It cuts through some big chunks as you can see I do hope that it will last. Feels sluggish nut ots a £140 saw dealing with 4 to 30in diameter tree sections or thereabouts The 3 year guarantee gives peace of mind and the 1year commercial guarantee is reassuring and usually solely offered with level arborist/pro xomtractor £600+saws. Its paid for itself already as the wood was given to me xo

This is a later model and the starting problems reported in the past have all been rectified. The de-compressor starting system has been removed and is now more user friendly. the power of this machine is superb. Yesterday I unpacked from box and assembled in no time at all, filled with fuel and chain oil and on second pull she started, brilliant. I then cut down a 35 year old 18″ dia. cherry tree which was in danger of damaging my garage with it’s root system, like hot knife through butter. At this moment I just can’t fault this machine. I will agree that on some reviews fuel consumption is slightly on the heavy side, I used two 1.5 tank fulls to cut tree and slice into usable logs for wood burner, but what the hec the machine is that good. If you need a good chainsaw that does the job brilliantly, and starts easily, go for it.
