Have been wanting an Estwing for a while, pulled the trigger and could not be happier! Very nice weight and feels really balanced in the hand. Build quality shows in it’s use compared to cheap models. No vibration when using and swings true.

As a tradesperson now retired electrical engineer I have purchased many hammers over the years but never bought a top end one . thinking all hammers are the same. .they are not. ! I have been building a small extension on my home and this hammer has been very handy .it’s one piece steel so no hammer heads to fly of no wooden shaft to snap it’s a comfy hammer BUT the 16 Oz is a little light for Framing / stud walling if I was still working I would have purchased the 20 Oz as well .but for my trade it’s very good ..just say NO when anyone asks to borrow it !

A thing of beauty and it seems a shame to use it given the quality of the finish. The handle and head are one piece so no heads flying off. The shaft is oval rather than round, so unwise to abuse this hammer by hitting things sideways with it to get more clout. As a claw hammer it fails the balance test of standing stable on the claw but the hammer nevertheless feels well balanced in use. A lot more expensive than a cheap alternative but it should outlast any of those.

Estwing have a truly well-earned reputation for making some of the best hammers on the market. This hammer will only add to their reputation. Amazing build quality using top mark materials. Along with perfect balancing and weight, the stunning design adds to the appeal to use. If you have to hit nails (or remove them) for a living, you will love this hammer. Everyone on site will ask to use it. Don’t let them…Worth it for DIY as well. It’ll last a lifetime and make any botching better.
