Upon delivery I tested the router on a section of a tree, I printed out the picture and the router made easy work of it, easy to set up and a solid machine, it comes with router bits but unfortunately not a pointed letter bit which is a must for this machine and lettering.All round I would buy again.

I bought a palm router for a one off job and elected to purchase another brand labelled as Amazons choice.The plastic adjustable base was flimsy and did not interlock with the scale on the unit to any meaningful degree. It was generally poor quality. The motor brushes sparked a lot and had to be replaced after say 7-10 hours running. So I bought the DEWINNER to replace it – wow, what a difference! Same money, but much more solid. The adjustable base (which is metal – dont buy any router with plastic attachments) is brilliant. The locking latch assures it stays where you put it. Only one spanner required to change the bits (it has a push button locking pin to hold the rotor still – the other brand did not so you had to use two spanners!). The DEWINNER also feels heavier – same price as the other router but in a different class! Try this one!

I was sceptical buying something isn’t branded.I bought this anyway as it had the parts and power I needed for a handheld machine in my shop.I can comfortably say it is an absolute dream for me. Light weight and easy to use.All the parts what important for me in a router are there (power, stability, well structured).If this brakes I am no doubt, will buy this again.

The router has more than enough power and very accurate. Locking/adjusting mechanism is a carbon copy of Makita’s system which is only fine. It definitely locks the height but you might find adjusting the height a bit finicky if you used Dewalt routers before. Otherwise it is not any finickier than other routers.Guide is precise, plate is flat.Noise is unbearable as expected.Dust collection is next to useless as expected from any palm router.Safety wise… Routers are not very safe anyway so keep away from high rpm tools if you are skittish.At least don’t wear gloves when using a router so that what is left from your right index finger has a clean cut line… Your surgeon will appreciate that.
