  1. Useless

Simply brilliant. Having used US petrol powered mowers for years, I was delighted with my new UK electric! Put together in minutes (no directions needed), and was mowing my garden, which was exceedingly long. Did a high pass and then a lower pass and everything looks great. Love the second blade as well.

  2. John

Powerful motor, light weight, easy to assemble. Cuts right up close to the edge is great featureCollection bucket small but this mower was never designed for a large garden

  3. Andy Reid

I recently moved house with a small grassy area at the front of the house and also found out I was responsible for an area of grass at the side of the property that is beside a communal pathway. Due to this I was looking for a budget mower that was fairly compact.Having used another brand, with mainly orange equipment, in the past I was a little hesitant to buy something else but I have never been let down by Bosch in the past so thought I’d give this a go.As others have said, there are no assembly instructions, however, a quick YouTube video later and the mower was assembled. I did worry initially that the basket seemed a little flimsy but once all built together the entire mower was solid. The cord was more than long enough to reach round the side of my house and feels fairly durable.I have to admit, I was completely staggered with how well this mower performed. It does cut quite close but that’s what I was looking for. It powered through the grass at the front of the house and made easy work of the overgrown grass (and weeds) at the side. The basket did need emptied a few times and I had to stop once to clear out the underside as some of the thicker grass was still a little wet and bunched up around the blade. The grass now looks good and the mower packed into my small shed easily. This mower is great value for money, easy to use and should be perfect for everything except the most overgrown of gardens.

Needed a new mower as old one fell to pieces after very little use. Saw this at a good price and the reviews were very good so decided to give it a go. Best mower I have had in years. Only had to put the handle on then ready to go. Very lightweight which was important to as I am getting on a bit and lawn is on a slight slope. Very happy with this.

Works well, my wife likes the light weight and some folks think the grass box is flimsy but I know from experience that it will do the job well.

  6. macabee200

If you’re new to buying a lawn mower then it might help to know that, without exception, all mowers priced under around £400-£500 are rubbish. Not one of them is actually fit for purpose, and they certainly won’t make mowing grass easy. They’re underpowered, poorly designed, use cheap materials, and typically just stop working at the drop of a hat. Is the grass wet? Tough luck. Mower will jam. Is the grass long? Tough luck. Mower will jam. Bumpy lawn? Tough luck. Mower will jam.So, unless you want to spent that kind of money, it becomes a matter of finding the best of what are some awful products. This one is the best of a bad lot in my experience. You will always have to have it set to the highest mowing position because the other two mowing positions will jam the blade (unless you have a 100% perfectly flat lawn—and you do not, I promise). You’ll need to make this adjustment immediately because, out of the box, the mower is set to the closest mowing position. Nope. Forget about that. And after this, it’s just about functional. It will not cut out and overheat like other mowers in this price range (if it does, there’s a 60 second time-out during which it will not work at all).It has a metal blade, too, which feels a safer bet than plastic blades used in other mowers. You also get a spare, which is weird because you can almost certainly just sharpen the existing one.In my garden the mower seemed to cope well with things like sticks, leaves, and other detritus that it ran over, too. Again, not all mowers will cope. The power ratings of these things are bunkum, by the way. Don’t think it’s best to go for the highest wattage you can afford. It’s just a marketing trick. The grass box is reasonably copious, and the mower will pack the trimmings in there quite densely, so you’re not always emptying it every few minutes. Removing it is slightly fiddly in that you have to manually ensure no trimmings leak out the back of the mower, and then you have to manoeuvre the box through the handlebars. But it seems to do its job, and not fall off during use – which again, is not guaranteed on mowers in this price range.Do I like this mower? No. It’s cheap. The people who designed it want you to know that. presumably so you’ll buy the most expensive models instead. It’s annoying trying to turn it around when mowing up and down, for example, because its plastic wheels are more basic than those in a soapcar derby. But it works, and seems to work work consistently, and is not too annoying. And as I’ve said, with mowers at this price range, you can’t take any of this for granted.

  7. Evelyn Andersson

Very light and yet powerfull, does my lawn wonders. Only downside is to adjust the length for cutting you have to do it via the wheels and not by an adjuster on the top.But for the price it’s not a big deal to be honest. It curls the grass very well all in to the edges with was important to me.

  8. Amazon Customer

Excellent buyHas 3 different height settings (20 / 40 /60) which are spring loaded so do take a bit of effort to set front and back , but once set you know they will stay correct and not slip.It quiet and chops really fine so more than expected can be cut before emptying the box.Came with extra blade so plan is to swap in autumn and get the other one sharped ready to swap round the next years autumn.

  9. Prime Customer 789

This is a good lawnmower for what it is – basic, electric, for small gardens with only electric power needed. Flimsy grass basket holds together OK once assembled and attached. But, beware dynamic pricing by Amazon, as they put prices up and down a lot – we paid £54.99 only for this, off season.

  10. Val

I have a short ownership experience, but so far I can only say good things. It does its job perfectly. The only disadvantages I can mention are the weak and potentially unreliable attachment of the handle to the body, as well as the rather thin plastic of the body of the grass container.Whether my fears are in vain or not time will tell. For now, I am satisfied with my purchase.
