Having received this drill and assembled it I leave the following review. Firstly the drill comes in a box full of parts, you will be advised to ware light gloves such as latex, this will protect your hands from the protective coating all over the metal parts. Assembly is quite straight forward but there is a booklet in the pack. I found that the adjustable bed is tight and had to widen the hole by placing a chisel in the slot and forcing the gap a tad wider which made the bed slide easer on the pole. I’ve not yet degreased the drill but intend to shortly. I have tested its function on different speeds and have to say that I am impressed, it drilled a 5mm hole perfectly in a 3mm aluminium sheet, there was no struggle on the motor and no slip on the plate. This drill is a good machine for light duties, I will be using it mainly for brass, aluminium and light steel plate. I would be sceptical using it on steel such as angle iron or box steel although it will probably drill if if you took your time with it and don’t force it too hard. Downside is that the cable entering the motor is not bushed and exposes the cores of the cable which is a regs failure, I intend to fit a plastic stuffing gland to the motor to secure the cable otherwise this machine is well constructed and very good for the price.Added 7th March 23. A word of warning, some reviews state problems with start/stop buttons over heating. I’ve had this drill a while now and although all of the above still apply it has come to my attention that there is indeed a problem with the stater. With the drill plugged into a live supply there is power to a coil controlling the start/stop regardless of the motor running or not and it is this coil that seems to get quite hot and has known according to previous reviews to burn out. It is therefore strongly advised to switch off or disconnect from the supply immediately after using the drill, this action will prevent the starter from overheating or burning out. Finally the switch on the side of the drill only isolates the motor, it does not cut the supply to the starter. My advice is plug in, do your job, plug out and you’ll be fine.

Excellent piece of kit for the price, but I am missing the item to clamp the table tight, items 13, 14, and 15, on the parts list.
