Really pleased with this. Bought it to maintain an early 1970’s boat that’s put together with a mix of metric & imperial fasteners. This set with it’s decent range of metric & imperial sockets will cover just about everything I’ll come across. There are none of the all too common pointless tiddly farty screwdriver bits and flimsy allen keys etc. that aren’t really useable – just good stout sockets, extension bars & attachments that you will need. The individual parts have a nice quality look and feel to them. The ratchet is smooth & fine toothed and the case is very robust – the only minor niggle being that although not shown in the photo, there is a hinged partition that clips into the inside of the lid and retains the parts stored in there. A great feature, but it is so tightly clipped into place that it is a b…ch to open. It will probably loosen off with use. All in all a well made, quality item and well worth the money. Only other Bahco tools I’ve had before this are adjustable spanners (which are superior to any other I’ve come across) and some files & rasps (also superb). I won’t hesitate to buy more Bahco tools. Anybody who buys this socket set will not be disappointed. One thing to bear in mind is that the case is chunky and thicker than it looks, being approx. 100mm (4″ in old money), so don’t assume because it’s a 3/8″ set that it is slim-line and will slither into the top drawer of your tool chest……….cos it aint and it won’t.

Comes with all the sizes and doesn’t skip any out. The sockets have the sizes stamped into them so you’ll always be able to see the size even when they’re worn or dirty. The ratchet feels nice in the hand, has to he right amount of teeth in the mechanism so it’s not too sensitive or sloppy. Doesn’t come with four dozen screwdriver bits to pad out the piece count which was appreciated.Only downside is that the sockets only sit in the tray and aren’t retained.

This socket set was purchased to replace a professional one which “went missing”. I decided on it after reading some reviews and, having now worked with the socket set for over a month, I am more than impressed.The high quality single hex “face drive” sockets fit snugly and avoid almost any possibility of nuts rounding offHaving spent some years working in race engine development, I am used to working with very high quality equipment & will be looking to Bahco for any future tool requirements.

Bahco make a top-quality socket set at a pretty good price. They seem to accept the rigours and knocks of day-to-day use without breaking easily and are a pleasure to use. The case is strong and easily cleaned if you are that way inclined!

Very nice set of tools, only used them a few times however the quality is very nice.Like I said I’ve only used them a few times so I can’t comment on durability however seems solid. Slightly on the expensive side but worth it.
