It cuts wood and it cuts it well… unfortunately it does a good job of it that I can’t put the blame on it when I just want to be slow and not do a lot of work. Wife thinks it’s great I’m more productive with this saw.

Bought this specifically to cut down an 18ft conifer and it did the job admirably. The blade is thick and rigid enough for it not to bounce when it binds on the trunking. I did use a chainsaw for the main trunking but anything up to a diameter of 3 – 4 inches in diameter were easily dealt with by this saw. I would definitely re-purchase it if need be.

I saw the video first. I was very impressed with the saw cutting the tree trunks with ease. My tree was 30ft long.it had split in two and was rotten. The tree surgeon wanted $800 dollars to remove the tree. It took me 2 days to cut the tree . 16 hours of hard labour I put in. Managed to cut the tree up with this saw. I was very impressed with this saw how easily it had cut through different thickness, of the trunk.

The only negative comment is that the sheath to protect ssaw blades is somewhat difficult to apply otherwise none what-so -ever. For high level pruning I use a Wolf curved pruning saw and just wished this company could produce a curved blade version with handle attachments for high level pruning. I needed to take off a branch cutting at the base to reduce overcrowding of branches higher up. At the base, the branch as it attached to the trunk is or I should say was now is/was nine inches deep and six inches wide. I was looking for a really sharp pruning saw and came across this one. It really cuts with ease and that is saying something as it is a Persian ironwood I am pruning. I have almost gone though and now I am creating manageable logs by cutting further up the stem as far as I can reach at ground level. I really do not know how long and how much effort it would have taken to have achieved what I have done so far with this marvellously designed saw which is just the right length and there is no catching of the blade as you draw through when making a cut. For those who have a Persian ironwood, you will know what I mean about the effort it takes to prune this gargantuan monster, for those who do not, the name sais it all. The only tree to second a Persian ironwood is the hornbeam, I once had both, but the hornbeam died during a drought.

I have a few different types of saws, and this one is worth the money. It has a comfortable handle for the grip, the blade is sharp, and it is never stuck because of dust. So I would recommend it for sure.
