I recommend 19mm thick plywood or 6mm thick aluminium plate you can buy from metal stockist.

Excellent and great value One of those items that owes much of its strength to its design. Although the steel parts feel a bit light weight when unpacked, the bench becomes stronger as you build it and the end result is very stable but not too heavy to be unwieldy. I liked the flexible top size which enable me to adapt it easily for all three of the tools that I plan to use it for. Great value for money too!

good value for money, once I got the hang of how to put it together it is good. It is only useful for light shed work. I wouldn’t really think it is strong enough for the hard core shed men. It is really good value for the money. I gave it four stars because it was not easy to understand the instructions, is it ever? And because it is a hobby level table.
