These planes arrived very quickly and in very nice cases. They were both in plastic bags inside the cases and were well covered in a film of oil. The block plane was sharp enough to use right out of the bag but the number 4 plane needed sharpening. Both very nicely finished and I would say they give much more expensive planes a run for their money. You could spend time trueing them both with diamond plates but I don’t need that sort of thing.I consider these planes to be well worth the money
D. Moriarty –
I don’t have much experience to compare with in terms of wood plains, but these met my needs nicely. Thank you!

Great pair of planes, as good as Stanley, but 1/2 the price, cases are great prevents damage on my reat toolbox. Great product great price!
Matthew Foster –
Brilliant value for money, needed smoothing the base plate and sides on a lapping stone but it’s great out of the boxThe tuning up is definitely needed but this would be done on any new planes to make sure they are 100% accurate for use
Dave King –
arrived factory set, beveled the edge of the sole, re-set the frog and sharpened the cutting iron. now as good as my old Stanley’s. would recommend .
john issom –
needed to flatten and square the planes and sharpen the blades but for the price that was acceptable plus I’d read the reviews
Grahame –

Mr. P A. Hinchliffe –
