Evolution is one of the market leaders in multi-purpose cutting technology. Utilising this multi-purpose cutting technology, all saws easily cut steel, aluminium, wood (even wood with nails) and plastic, using just one blade. All Evolution multi-purpose carbide-tipped blades are made in Japan and are of premium quality steel and performance.

Cuts Cooler

When cutting metals, Evolution blades leave an instantly workable finish and produce virtually no heat, burrs or sparks. This allows the material cut to be handled quickly instead of having to wait for the metal to cool down, as required with abrasives.

Cuts Tile

With this accessory, Evolution saws are the complete cutting package. Available in two styles to enable most natural stone, concrete, paving slabs and unglazed ceramics to be cut with ease. Segmented rim blades (available in 185 mm, 305 mm and 355 mm): Hot pressed turbo segmented rim for consistent cutting ability. Continuous rim blades (available in 210 mm and 255 mm): Provides the smoothest cut in unglazed ceramic tiles and ornamental stone.

Cuts Safer

Abrasive blades can create excessive dust, fumes, smoke, fire and can even explode. Evolution blades produce very few sparks, create little heat and are an overall safer alternative to abrasives.

Accurate, Precision Cutting

Clear and precise angle settings allow complex and accurate angled cuts to be performed in tasks such as crown moulding, picture frames, furniture making and joining long pieces of wood together such as skirting or decking boards.

Plus Edition

The Evolution R255SMS+ includes a premium multi-material cutting TCT blade, dual quick release clamps, slide rail protector, integrated carry handles and a dust bag.

Large Cutting Capacities

A maximum cutting capacity of 80 x 300 mm, allows large cuts to be completed with one smooth accurate cut. Furthermore, at 45° bevel and 45° mitre a 45 x 210 mm cut can be achieved.

Evolution Mitre Stand

A fantastic addition to Evolution’s product range complementing the R255SMS+. Easily to set up, with foldable legs for simple storage. This stand can support long workpieces up to 3 metres in length and has a maximum work load of 150 kg.

    This is the best tool I have ever bought. The only drawback is getting it in and out of my tight space garage and setting it up (which doesn’t take long at all). I love this chop-saw and stand and recommend it to everyone.

    Other reviews have said it all really. I have upgraded from the Rage3-S+ and have noticed the increase in power and a drop in the noise level. In my view it`s well worth the extra money. Pair it with the Evolution mitre saw stand and you have the perfect combination.

    The laser is useless; adjustment is impossible on mine, others may vary.Out of the box my saw was a degree or two out in every direction but adjustment is simple and quick.I bought the stand as well, and it is better than I would have hoped – very solid and easy to use. My daughter bought one of these saws without the stand and uses it on an old pallet mounted on saw horse trestles, which also works very well.The blade provided is excellent but I cut mainly wood so got the wood blade as well. Changing between the two is fast and easy.
