This Estwing E12C hammer is Fabulous. Head and post in forged steel, built in one piece. This 12 oz hammer; with 28 cm in length and 567 g in weight. Bruno is lined with genuine leather and hand-stitched. The steel is black and polished and the leather is dark brown, in the final part of the construction it takes an immersion bath, in a lacquer-based one, which, in addition to creating a protective film, also gives them a more physical appearance. glossy. It is very robust with great precision and extremely comfortable. It is also very effective and of great functionality. It is simple to handle and good ergonomics. It has great elegance and is very beautiful.! with a 22 mm diameter head point and an excellent weight balance, it is the small and robust hammer for all domestic and professional jobs, in its size range. the beginning of this Estwing brand, was in 1923 in the USA, and this E12C hammer model, is built entirely in the USA, since 1948. carpentry or DIY work, both at amateur and professional levels.! The Estwing E12C, on Amazon’s, is priced at around €70…

    Lovely balance.

Nice workshop hammer. The claws are not as re-fined along the inside as I would have liked. I have the skill to do that myself, but most won’t. Other that that, nice wee hammer.

  4. Amazon Customer

Estwing always produce top quality tools and this is no acception. Great weight and balance with a nice angled claw. Only thing I can fault it for is the end is capped off with metal which could potentially mark surfaces if not placed down nicely.

  5. VaclavVaclav

So far so good, as a replacement for my broken claw hammer. Handle is little bit thicker to hold. Hammer Feel well balanced

Has lasted for 20 + years and is still going strong , used every day .

  7. Alana

    This is perfect

I think a lot of people will complain that this hammer has a lot of little imperfections and apprentice marks here and there. If you look at how these are made on youtube you’ll see why. In the days of cheap mass produced crap, this is a quality item which will last longer than you most likely. A few imperfections due to the way they are made is a small price to pay for something where the core quality and design is outstanding and it’s part of the character of a tool like this. I’m sure the newer rubberised handles are going to be better for shock absorbsion if you’re doing one hell of a lot of hammering but I much prefer the traditional finish.

For me this is the king of hammers. I have had a 20oz Estwing for 25 years or more and it is still going strong. This purchase was for my son who expressed an interested in becoming a carpenter. Whether he does or he doesn’t he now has a hammer that will serve him well for the rest of his life. The only differences I could see in this new one compared to my old faithful was that the fixing plate on the base of the handle is of a thicker steel and the handle felt thicker in my hand but that could well be down to the fact that mine has worn over the years and fits my hand like a glove.I know quite a few tradesmen that have the blue synthetic handled version but I have always preferred leather. Just personal preference. Both will more than meet most peoples needs I am sure and they are well balanced regardless of which you plumb for.Quite expensive I will grant you but you are buying something that can be handed on to your children and quite possibly their children too. You can’t say that about many things these days.It is certainly not a purchase you are likely to regret.

This hammer will last for a lifetime.
