These Irvin Marples chisels are of high quality and come packaged in a wooden storage box that holds them securely, although in mine an internal wooden strip to hold the chisels in place had become detached and needed re-gluing but this was not a problem with the chisels.Chisels come in the following sizes: 6, 10, 12, 18, 25, & 32mm and arrive ready for use, and that means extra sharp so be careful when initially opening the box. The chisels sit in the hand comfortably and have a ‘nice’ weight to them, this leads to a good level of control when they are in use. I have yet found the need for resharpening but will make sure that I use my honing guide to get the correct angle on the bevel. Overall a good product and I would highly recommend them.

A really rather nice set that appears to have been made by Marples of Sheffield, which are that rare thing, a British family firm with a reputation for quality. Time will tell if that holds true, but, for the price, these represent very good value for money, and the wooden case is a lovely bonus.
