Well, you get what you pay for generally – except clamps – up to a point.Sometimes I’m utterly amazed at just how much a clamp costs for what is a simple thing and apart from a few esoteric jobbies a cheap one is as good as an expensive one.Which is a roundabout way of saying that these are basically fit for purpose and cheap. That means you can buy a load of them which, is often necessary for some woodworking tasks or as in my case a bit of welding.They are built…to a price. And that price is low. And that’s fine. They work perfectly well and clamp with plenty of force. The bits that don’t work are the plastic soft feet which, immediately fall off. I’ve found this to be the case for all of the low rent clamps I have and those I use on wood I’ve glued on leather soft faces. The ones I use when welding I just use steel on steel.The small niggle that I have is that they are not very deep, so you are a bit limited if you need the something clamping a good distance in from an edge.Overall, these are exactly what they are. Cheap clamps that work as well as any other.

Very nice little clamps. Handles are good and nice to use. Grips well with the only issue of the plastic protectors coming off easily but this is usual for clamps in this price range. If they get too loose that’s what glue is for.

For the price, these are great – much cheaper than most clamps and they work pretty well. There are issues that could be highlighted – the plastic protectors fall off quite easily, the handle isn’t particularly well shaped for gripping, and it is a bit close to the bar, which has led to some skinned knuckles particularly when close to the top of the bar which is a bit of a sharp corner. However, I think these limitations are perfectly acceptable for the price. I bought a dozen of the 6″ clamps and four of the 12″ clamps, and I’m happy to have a good number of clamps without spending the earth.

I wanted these clamps to hold my printing press firmly on my table. They had to be a specific shape and size, so as to not get in the way of the wheel but also to be able to hold the press to the table. I am really pleased with them, they are very reasonably priced and very good quality. I am hoping for years of great service x
