Have only used this the once so far but I’m impressed. It was £10 cheaper on the ryobi website but delivery would have been 3-5 working days and I really needed it sooner than that so opted for pay the extra to get it on prime. Worth checking direct if you’re not in a hurry though. Was easy to assemble when it arrived, took no more than 5 minutes. I was concerned that a battery chainsaw wouldn’t last very long between charges but I didn’t have any problems. I had about 10 logs to cut that were around 10-20cm diameter. I cut them in to around 5 lengths. That’s around 40 cuts through 10-20cm logs and I used half of the 4ah battery. Obviously thicker logs would take longer to cut and use more battery but it’s more than enough for what I need. Being part of the one+ range too means I can use my other batteries so I don’t expect any usage issues.

First time purchase (and use) of a Chainsaw and really pleased with my purchase. Easy to assemble and used mostly for cutting logs for our log burner (a small hobbit requiring 6 inch logs) – went through a very large bag of 8 inch logs with less than half a battery charge used. Lightweight, easy to use and love the fact it doesn’t have a power lead to get in the way. Used a small painting brush to clean off the wood dust residue after use and stored ready for next use.
