This chainsaw is great value for money. Hesitated buying it when I saw the ‘it won’t start’ reviews, but went for it any way. It’s a two stroke, so needs be started as per the instructions when cold. That is, prime it, pull the choke out and try to start it (it won’t start and run). Push choke in an try to start it – fires up right away.Taken down 6 small trees with it over two weekends. Great tool!

Great little saw for the price, the chain it comes with is decent although i changed to an Oregon one just for peace of mind as i only really trust Oregon/Stihl chains. The saw is great for firewood and general logging/felling as its much lighter to carry around all day than my bigger saws. It makes light work of trees up to 12” and o have no doubt it would do a 20” tree going in from each side. It doesnt get bogged down, just have to let the chain go through at its own pace and don’t push it, it will do an 8” log in around 8-9 seconds which is great for the price! The only downside is the weight, its a bit heavy for areal work using one hand all day but two handed stuff is fine.Great saw would certainly recommend… i have also just changed over all of my power tools to einhell gear too!

Firstly, I will say that I have worked in the forestry industry for over 30 years.I have been professionally repairing saws!!This little saw does everything you would expect, and for me very easy to start.10 presses of the primer, choke out fired 2nd pull, choke off and 3rd pull of you go.Many people complaining about starting problems, and difficult to assemble..For those people, do not buy a Husqvarna or Stihl… Because it is exactly the same putting the bar and chain on the Einhell, and starting is exactly the same as any of the professional saws. With any saw, prime if it has a primer, but choke out pull till it fires then choke in and it will start next pull. For many of the reviewers who can’t start a saw…. Well that’s probably a good thing for your own safety!!!

Absolutely cracking little machine, I have in the past gone with the ostentatiously priced saws but to no avail! Considering the price it needs more than five stars. First time starter every time, never stalls, would recommend every day of the week. Not purchased for every day of the week use so can’t comment on it working under 8hrs a day situations, but would suggest that it would stack up well to the more expensive types.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband so that he can cut wood for his log burner.I didn’t read the reviews until after purchase and was concerned to read that others were experiencing difficulties firing this up.Fortunately my husband had no such issues and prepared his logs in no time. The saw comes with some assembly required which can be tricky but by following the instructions carefully, it was assembled with no problem. The blade is not as long as I expected but it cuts logs of an adequate thickness for our log burner.

The issue with 2 stroke is that if youre not using consistently they can have problems starting.well ive tried all the main brands apart from the expensive ones, after all I only use every now & again. so should be fine.No.But this is the only budget machine that actually works as it should. It starts & goes spot on. Im happy, but actually all thats happened is ive got what I paid for. Strange world, because im very happy that that’s the case, because it so often isnt.
