I bought this mower to replace an old petrol mower. My expectations were low I guess – the petrol mower could munch through walls of grass sort of thing, no chance an electric mower can do the same.Out the box the mower looks the business. Some found assembly tricky but for me it was fairly straightforward. This allows decent adjustment for handle height as well. Outside of the good looks, my main concern was that it is light and plastic.The battery this comes with is a hefty one, twice the size of what a lot of other mowers come with. Keep this in mind when comparing to the two battery mowers… The battery also has a USB socket, so you could use it to charge other devices if you wanted to. It also has a LED charge status, so you can check how much juice you have left. The charger is a bulky thing but charges very quickly.I’ve used this for a full season and it’s performed brilliantly. My fears of how light and plastic it is have been unfounded. I’ve had several wet mows, and several mows where the grass has been long, and it has coped very well. My main compliment is that I use it like the petrol mower, I’ve not had to restrict myself at all, but it is much lighter, easier and nicer to use than the petrol mower. Only once has the battery not lasted the full mow (long, wet grass combo). I have about 200m2 of grass to mow for reference. I think the claim is 500m2, I reckon more like 300-350 as the most I’ve seen left on the battery after a full mow is 42%, and that’s in dry conditions with the grass not very long.

Well, I got this wonderful lawn mower £90 cheaper, because there was no box, but the advertised ‘average condition’ and mention of large scratches turned out to be completely inaccurate. Essentially I’d saved enough for a really expensive bottle of plonk on the strength- or lack of- a box. The mower works perfectly and has cut a nice even path.Since I hadn’t noticed Amazon thoughtfully offered instructions, it took me an extra 30 minutes to assemble however, because the bolts were put in back to front in the grips by the factory and it took me that long to twig it was actually rather easy once they were reversed…

Bought this for the wife as our petrol mower getting too heavy as she’s now in her sixties and I’ve had some health issues. So far so good. She says it’s light weight and cuts the grass well. Charged the battery to 100% and after the first cut had 60% left so should get two cuts per charge of our medium size lawn. Time will tell though as only used it once so far.

I was unsure about buying a battery mower as wasn’t sure it would cut as well as my petrol mower. Well those ideas have been put to rest!! – this mower is absolutely excellent, light weight and very easy to manoeuvre, bliss to start and a brilliant cut. Only bad point, it was a headache to put the handle together!! Needs better instructions on how to do it!!

What a great piece of kit this is. On the higher cut hight is zips through the most overgrown lawn. Good battery life as well.
