The Bosch Rotak 36 R is packed full of incredible features to ensure you get a pristine lawn every time. The mower has a high speed 1350 W ‘Powerdrive’ motor that enables you to cut long grass with ease. Featuring innovative grass combs, this lawnmower is able to easily cut up to or over the edge of your lawn for a clean cut. It has a 36 cm cutting width, ideal for medium sized lawns and offers a range of adjustable cutting heights.
Bosch ‘Powerdrive’ motor
The Rotak 36 R is a powerful and lightweight lawnmower. The high speed 1350 W motor and innovative gear set work together to keep the blade running at a high rpm by altering the torque supplied by the motor. When the going gets tough, the system senses the increased load on the blade and increases the torque to the motor. This means Full Power!
Innovative grass combs
With inset front wheels and innovative grass combs, the Rotak 36 R can cut grass growing close to or over the edge of the lawn. This ensures that no strips of uncut grass are left behind when cutting around flower beds, walls or paths, reducing the need for trimming.
Lightweight and compact design
Lightweight at only 12 kg, and with its integrated carry handle, the Rotak 36 R is easy to carry and store. It comes complete with a 10 m cable making it ideal for small to medium sized lawns. Additioanlly, the Rotak 36 R features easy z-folding handles and a stackable grass box for convenient and compact storage at a height of only 55 cm. Ergoflex handles
The sleek Bosch Ergoflex design is based around the comfort and simplicity of computer console handsets, ensuring support and ease of movement. The mower can be operated left, right, one or two handed, horizontally or vertically, giving you 8 different grip positions to control the mower. With an adjustable working height and multi-position handle, optimal power transfer is achieved. Adjusting the mower to your body you can improve posture and reduce muscle strain. Approximately 15 Kg. in weight, is light for a lawnmower, which folds down roughly into a square shape, for minimal storage space.Mainly of a plastic construction, allowing for the less weight, is robust enough for periodic use.The 10 metre long electric flex, coloured orange for safety and rubber plug, is sufficient for the smaller garden or medium sized one, perhaps requiring an extension lead.Always use an RCD circuit breaker, widely available.There is a red lever for easy grass height selection (2cm-7cm.)The lawnmower requires initial assembly per the instruction booklet (could be improved), yet is fairly straight forward.The is no explanation/depiction, how to fold the lawnmower with the grass box after use.After a little trial and error, I found out how to, which is easy/simple to remember (split the grass box into two.)The plastic grass box two halves are clipped together, one on top of the other, but do this gently, paying heed to alignment.It hooks onto the mower’s rear end by lifting the spring loaded hinged flap.Because of the flexibility in the handle assembly design and necessary economical construction used, means that there is quite a bit of twisting, lifting and lowering of the metal handle pieces and moving around of folded flex to it’s resting position.Ditto for reassembly.It gets easier with practice.The replaceable cutting blade, has a simple nut assembly beneath and cuts grass right up to the edges, due to the recessed wheel design.I chose this model because of the four on/off switches built into the handle.Those on the left work in unison depending upon which one is selected; the same for the right hand side, i.e. they work as pairs.They are all kept powered on when the handle’s central red button is depressed.Select any switch thereafter to switch off.The handle may be held by the hands either horizontally or vertically; ideal for the smaller person, elderly or those with dexterity issues.The rear roller beneath the lawnmower, whilst effective on longer straight lawns, loses it’s benefit on the smaller lawn that requires more twisting and turning when being mowed.Consequently the roller reduces manoueuvrability (UK spelling) slightly on a smaller lawn.This is a very efficient mower giving excellent finished results, including gathering moss to allow the lawn to recover it’s best appearance; ask my neighbour.

no need for a long review….very easy to assemblevery easy to operatevery easy to adjust the cutting height, i set mine to the highest setting and this mower ploughed through with no problemcut my medium sized garden with ease, i had a little jungle but its looking good now. cant wait to mow the lawn next week :)my only thing was the weight, its not heavy and its not lightweight (middleweight contender)

2nd purchase of this item. Well impressed, ideal for my small lawn and mower couldn’t b easier to handle. Light and efficient. Grass Box is flimsier than previous model, lets see if ot stands the test of time.

I really like this mower and am very happy with the purchase. It folds away neatly which is handy for the garage. It gave a very good cut and left nice stripes in the grass. The collector bin as other have mentioned is very thin and a bit flimsy, so I’m worried the plastic clips might break sooner.

I’m very pleased with this product. It cuts well and does everything it says on the box. I would add that it’s just two small lawn areas that I’m cutting, I wouldn’t recommend on a large lawn.
