The spanners are very good quality for the price and also feature a closed end on an angle to assist in getting in tighter corners and hard-to-reach bolts. Would recommend for anyone to have it as a kit as they do what they are made to do and also come in a carrier so they are easy to store and not lose.

While searching for a decent spanner set to carry out some bicycle maintenance, I came across this set: Silverline SP1236 Combination Spanner, 8-19 mm – 12 Pieces .At under £10 and with many positive reviews, my purchase was pretty much a no-brainer!The spanners come in a range of sizes suitable for most household and basic mechanical tasks. While not of the same quality as similar products made by companies like Park Tool they are fairly robust, comfortable to use and are easily-slotted into the supplied holder when not in use -ideal for thoe amongst us who like to keep our tools neat and tidy.I personally found there to be very little slippage while using the spanners and have so far not experienced any ‘dents’ in them despite some heavy usage.I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a decent and inexpensive spanner set for everyday tasks.

I haven’t used every single spanner but this is a very useful set just to keep in the garage.I always found I needed a spanner when I didn’t have any, so I bought these from Amazon as they’re relatively cheap. I know Silverline aren’t the market leader for tools but I’ve found them to be very reliable. They’re also very confident in their products with the lifetime guarantees they dish out. So I decided to go for it. I’m not likely to use spanners all the way to their limit so I was happy to buy this set at a reasonable price and let it sit in my garage for one of those “just in case” days.Glad I bought them, they came in very useful in a recent DIY job I had to do, involving a strip down and rebuild of expensive parts.
