The Blue Spot Tools 46 piece ¼” socket set is manufactured from chrome vanadium for increased durability. Chrome vanadium is made up of various alloys giving it greater hardness and strength.
The set is ideal for vehicle maintenance and repairs, for everyday use by professionals and serious DIY users alike. It’s heat-treated, hardened, tempered and fully polished. Knurled sockets to provide a secure grip.

Plenty of options on how to use the sockets so suspect will find them useful. Had to buy womething because it was the only way to access a recessed 8mm nut. Despite it being tightened by someone/thing with the strength of a gorilla it came off without a problem.

This small socket/wrench kit is a must have for any small DIY or in home jobs. Its got a great strong feel, textured rubber grips on the handles of the wrench and screwdriver. The kit comes with a great selection of sized sockets and the elbow attachment is more than useful for those tight and hard to reach spaces. Excellent value for money, a must have for in and round the home, DIY enthusiasts, tradesmen and anything in-between.

I’ll start by admitting that I previously bought one of these tool kits from another online retailer before buying a 2nd one from Amazon for a cheaper price, so I’ve had a lot more time to get to grips with this product than the date of this review may suggest.What a little gem of a socket set!! At the time of buying this was priced at a hair under £20 posted (fulfilled by Amazon). There’s only one real gripe – the little allen keys which are randomly stuffed in one corner are of no real use in the real world and probably just help to inflate the tool count, but that doesn’t detract from the quality of both the manufacturing and materials used for the rest of the pieces!The ratchet itself has a very positive mechanism, with a deep and hefty click as it goes round. Ideally you could argue that you would want more frequent engagement points, but for £20 the decision to go for deeper and stronger engagements is the right choice. I’m an auto engineer (primarily as a design engineer) by trade and hobbyist mechanic when I’m not at work, so you could say I know a thing or two about good & bad design and getting my hands dirty.The machined cut of al the bits is arguably the most important thing they’ve gotten right with this set. I’ve come across some well known branded tools in the past which advertise “high grade stainless steel” this that and the other, which is all well and good, but if you don’t make the tool bits to a high standard with well-defined edges machined to a tight tolerance, your super high grade bits are just going to chew through bolt heads instead of opening them. No such problem here!The carry case is nice and tough and won’t accidentally open itself and spew parts everywhere if you drop it. There is a foam sheet that comes with it as well which, although crude, does a perfectly adequate job of reducing any rattles you’ll get with some kits if you keep them in the car. Another bonus is that the sockets go up to 14mm. With my previous set I was forever finding that I had to go up to a 3/8″ driver for 14mm bolts which sometimes was just not possible because of a lack of space around the bolt head.

A very useful and surprisingly well made little socket set at a good price. I thought the set would be low quality, but actually it’s well made. Used it on lots of jobs from fitting a window motor on a car to repairing a chain saw. Nice bit of kit.
