COJMH –
I bought this unit to fit to a trend router table and it was important to have the adjustment mechanism that worked through the table. I was impressed with the quality of the unit and fitted it to my table. I did however have an issue with the adjustment mechanism, it seemed to bind up whenever I tried to move the router up …. so I have had a few interactions with Trend and they resolved the issue quickly, professionally and at no cost to me. Based on customer services else where I have to say the service was excellent. After speaking to collegues who also use trend the customer service is something that stood out to them too.The unit itself was very ergonomic and well built with all of the necessary fittings to do most jobs, including an insert to change from 1/2″ bits to 1/4″ bits. The only critical thing I would say though is with the manual. It would be best to put the diagrams into the actual body of the instructions rather than just at the beginning. It is a little annoying to have to flick backwards and forwards between the instructions and the diagrams when you want to do something or check something. But as long as you stick with the instructions they are generally clear and easy to follow.

Good bit of kit, fits the Trend table well, easily adjustable (although slightly cumbersome) but, there is always a “but” I should have purchased this earlier, I is a robust unit and the router controls are good. Many thanks.
